05/06/09 - Fellow Citizens has had another song featured on rcrdlbl.com. This time they are featuring "Holden Caulfield Makes a Phone Call to Jane" which will be on our upcoming Rocket Pack EP
"Maybe it's the Cinco di Mayo hangover and I am feeling rather sorry for myself, but all I craved today was a steady dose of sun-flecked, finger-plucked, almost thumb-sucking alt-country jams, the kind made for camp fires, all-day stints in bed, and solemn think sessions on park benches. That said, I've been playing this serene, soothing concoction by Colorado-based Fellow Citizens on repeat. It has got a bit of the warm, reverb soaked guitar of My Morning Jacket, (The male lead even has a similar belted slur as Jim James,) a gossamery melody like Wilco, and a mountain wholesomeness like Blitzen Trapper. The soft female harmony tops off the song just right.
PS In case you are wondering about the title, remember Holden Caulfield is the lead from Catcher In The Rye and Jane was his innocence crush, whom he deliberates half the book about calling....ahh high school memories..."-Faith Ann Young, rcrdlbl.com

04/17/09 - "On The Parkway" has been featured on the music blog, rcrdlbl.com , as well as a short bio and some pics of the band.
"Fellow Citizens, a five men and one woman troupe based in Boulder, CO, crafts sepia-toned, folk-bred American beauties - the ageless sort that could have been made in the 1950s, 1970s, or yesterday. "On The Parkway" opens with a grainy recording of an old-school space launch (i.e. Apollo? Major Tom?), hinting the track is as much a departure as a remembrance of things past. The song proceeds with lazy acoustic guitar strums, loose drums, chimes and lush vocal harmonies. It's perfect to listen to while neck-deep in a bubble-bath, traipsing idly in a park, or for any time you need to slow down and soak in life's smells, gestures, and intricacies, deeply and daintily." -Faith Ann Young, rcrdlbl.com
